Established in 1993 , SC Moviplast SRL has quickly become and remained among the top producers of plastic bags in Romania. The entire 1994 production as tonnage is now produced in less than three weeks ,the company came to process over 2300 tons of polyethylene and polypropylene every year.

Determined by the desire to export, when many people did not know anything about the quality management system in 1997, SC Moviplast SRL obtained the ISO 9001 certification. In 2003, ISO 14001 was certified and OHSAS 18001 was certified in 2005. A true pioneer of certifications, in September 2018, Moviplast SRL was recertified according to ISO 9001/2015, ISO 14001/2015 and ISO 45001/2018 standards.

In the company’s rigging there are currently 12 extrusion lines for LDPE foils (one in 5 layers, one in 3 layers, the rest of it monolayer), 5 extrusion lines for HDPE foils , 29 machines for making sacks ,bags and shopping bags ,4 printing machines in 6 colours, 2 recycling lines.In the foil extrusion sector, work is done 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

At present , SC Moviplast SRL is known as one of the most important flexible packaging manufacturers in Romania, interested in increasing the production for export being an obvious priority for its commercial department.

Approximately 30-35% of the packaging production manufactured by SC Moviplast SRL is exported to countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, France, Bulgaria. With some of the foreign partners, trade relationships have already overreached 18 years.

On the Romanian market , SC Moviplast SRL mainly works with companies from the automative industry , with industrial producers who use the packaging delivered for their own packaging products, but also being known and appreciated on the market of high and low density shopping bags. In 2018, COFACE Romania granted Moviplast SRL the EXCELLENT SME ROMANIA certificate, a business performance certificate for small and medium enterprises based on Safe Signed technology. Following the activity carried out, this certificate was renewed in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Since 2015 SC Moviplast SRL has been operating in a new location, where it has modern production spaces totalising over 5500 square meters to which 900 square meters administrative spaces. The annual turnover varies around 6 million euros and the number of employees exceeds 100 people.

The multiple awards taken out by SC Moviplast SRL during its evolution no matter who awarded them (The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The National Council of SMEs in Romania, organizers of fairs and exhibitions), reflect both the seriousness of the company and its social behavior , the continuous preoccupation to be among the best.

In 2003, SC Moviplast SRL won 1st place in the middle enterprise category for engaging in philanthropic activities and socially responsible behavior ( the organizer being the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania and the Association for Community Relations).

In 2018, COFACE Romania granted SC Moviplast SRL the Ecellent SME Romania Certificate, a business performance certificate for small and medium businesses, based on SafeSigned technology.

Between 2015 -2017, CREDITINFO recognized SC Moviplast SRL as one of the strongest companies in Romania (only 5.6% of the Romanian companies fulfilled the conditions at the same level).

In 2017, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Oltenia awarded SC Moviplast SRL the trophy of excellence for ranking for 19 consecutive years in the top companies in Dolj County.

SC Moviplast SRL is a member of the leading board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oltenia and at national level, its representative fulfills the position of vice-president of the Association of Plastics Manufacturing Engineers in Romania (ASPAPLAST).
